The London and Area Association for Volunteer Administration (L.A.V.A.) exists to promote volunteer management and to provide leadership to the managers in this field.
Our stated goals are:
- To promote professionalism within the field of volunteer management
- To hold meetings, workshops, conferences, seminars, etc. for the purpose of exchange of ideas and provisions of information about current practices, problems and advances in the field of volunteer management.
- To collaborate with and assist educational institution to provide training for Directors and/or Coordinators of Volunteer Services.
- To advocate on behalf of the profession of volunteer management.
- To encourage the development of volunteerism. To bring together in an association persons in the City of London and surrounding areas who have a common interest in directing volunteer services.
